we r planning to go on a cruise at the end of february and we'll stay one day in barbados too.
my wife is pregnant, 5th month, and we are keeping on reading so many worrying news about zika virus.
some news really scare us, some other seem not to make you worry.
how is the situation like here?
do u think it would be a risk for us? on one hand we' r, or we try to be a bit confident 'cos it will be a cruise, but do you think that the visits of the island might be dangerous?
thanks in advance…
a quick question
we'll be in bridgetown at the end of february during a cruise, we have read that there is the chance to swim with turtles.
my question is: is it an activity safe for a pregnant girl?
do you know, in Carlisle Bay, where could we do it and a fair price to pay?
thanks in advance as usual
we are a couple from italy who will come to Bridgetown at the end of February just for some hours, during a cruise in the Caribbean. We are two adventurous travelers as you can see in our blog: www.born2travel.it
This time we have had to choose a more relaxing thing 'cos my wife is pregnant and we can't do any hard activities.
Considering that we'll stay just few hours, from the morning till the evening, and that we don't wanna follow the groups of the cruise, what would you suggest to do…
Hi people! I would like to get some fresh information about an old question, is there boat or ferry service between Barbados and Bequia or Saint Vincent? I would like to travel those 2 countries plus Saint Lucia in december, I think I would fly from Saint Vincent to St Lucia and from St Lucia to Barbados, but might be nice to take by boat this fisrt step of the trip. Thanks in advance for your help!
I'm travelling to Barbados in April and just realized I'm registered for a half marathon 8 days after I get back. Oops.
Vacation or no, I'll need to keep up with my training or I won't stand much chance of meeting my goal (1:39 or less!). Can anyone recommend some running routes? We'll be staying in Fitts Village, but I'd be willing to move around. Ideally, I'd need a 5k, 10k, and 20k route. If you don't know of any routes personally, do you know of anywhere else I could look? My…
I'm taking a cruise in March which leaves me with 1 day in Barbados. The boat docks near Bridgetown.
I'm not really a beach person, so I've been having some trouble finding things to do. I want to explore the culture, and see what is unique to the island.
I'm also wondering if anyone can recommend some food unique to Barbados which I can try. I will eat pretty much anything.
Thanks in advance.
I want to know from someone who is in barbados or been recently, did you experience many mosqitos and got bit?
We are travelling in feb with a 8mth baby and i want to know if i should use a mosquito net on his pushchair and repellant for him.
I have read the post in the caribbean forum but want more uptodate info about barbados itself. Thanks
