Lonely Planet review for Mezzaluna

If you're looking for that 'somewhere special' but don't want to lose sight of the country you are in, then you can't do better than the atmospheric and sophisticated Mezzaluna. Occupying a stylish Bahraini courtyard house, the high-ceilinged restaurant has a live Latin band (on Fridays) and jazz music at other times. It offers a Mediterranean menu with imported cheeses from France and an excellent wine list.

The Algerian fillet mignon is a melt-in-the-mouth classic. Book to avoid disappointment.

    Mezzaluna Restaurant

    jemimah_ileah recommends this,

Tucked inconspicuously amidst the old residential flats, small offices and shops of Adliya, Mezzaluna is a favorite among locals, europeans, and anyone looking for a good choice of fine Mediterranean cuisine with international flavor. The food is sumptuous - served in a warm, relaxed traditional Bahraini courtyard setting.

The price range is between 2 BHD for starters and 4 - 10+ BD for mains and considering it's almost always fully booked, it must be well worth it. A classic would be the Boeuf Bourguignon but anything else will not disappoint.

There is live music playing on certain dates. Call and make sure you book beforehand.
