Old Sheki Teahouse
Fabulously atmospheric, but only serving tea by the samovar accompanied by jams, fruit and confectionery (costing a minimum of AZN6).
The outdoor garden seating surveys Old Şəki but service seems to strongly favour local clientele and menus are unpriced. No sign.
Lonely Planet review
Even if you don’t stay here, do peep inside this historic caravanserai whose twin-level arcade of sturdy arches encloses a sizeable central courtyard. Stride through the imposing wooden gateway door and if questioned say you’re heading for the restaurant in the garden behind, a relaxing place for a 20q cup of tea, perhaps accompanied by a slice of signature Şəki halvasi (local paxlava ).
