Lonely Planet review

Şəki has a great B&B homestay programme though unfortunately the organiser Homestay Contact, Farhad Azizov doesn't speak English. Call him (in Russian or Azeri), giving your mobile telephone number and explaining where you are (ideally somewhere easily identifiable like the Karavansaray). Within around 20 minutes a taxi should arrive to take you to the chosen house.

Give the taxi around Manat1, then pay around Manat10 per night to the homestay host. Most homestays are very central and delightfully friendly. Breakfast is included but don't expect any spoken English.
