Getting there & away
Quba’s bus station is 2km east of the town centre. For Baku there are painfully rickety buses (AZN1.80, five hours) at 10am, 11.30am and 2pm while the more frequent marshrutkas (AZN3, four hours) and shared taxis (seat/vehicle AZN6/20) depart when full from outside. Marshrutkas/shared taxis cost 40q/AZN1 to Qusar (20 minutes).
Jeeps to Xınalıq depart when completely full from outside Hotel Xınalıq at the back of the bazaar. That’s two blocks south, then one east from the bus station. If you get a fair price (AZN8) this is the cheapest way to reach Xınalıq, but the situation is chaotic and very confusing, especially if you don’t speak local languages. It’s wise to bring a Russian or Azeri-speaking friend to help you negotiate.
