  1. Artsakh State Museum

    The Artsakh State Museum is rich in local artefacts and contains particularly interesting displays on the Karabakh war, including some of the homemade weapons used in the crushing early days of the fighting. An excellent and free guided tour in English is available on arrival.

  2. Kartinnaya Gallery

    Kartinnaya Gallery displays the work of local artists and is a good place to tap into the Karabakhi arts community. For something a little more light-hearted, visit the amusement park (May-September) which has rides and live music on warm summer nights.

  3. Museum of Fallen Soldiers

    The Museum of Fallen Soldiers honours those men who died in battle during the 1990-1994 war with Azerbaijan. The walls of this stunning museum are lined with photographs of soldiers killed in action and there are displays of weaponry and other memorabilia. The entrance to the museum is in the back of a pink building that stands on Vazgen Sarksyan Poghots. The door is slightly hidden by cypress trees.
