How much demand is there for 1st class 2-bed sleeper…
I've read conflicting reports on whether it's worth buying the ticket for the Baku-Tbilisi train in advance online, or whether it's perfectly fine to turn up on the day and get it in Baku? Obviously I don't want to risk it being fully booked if possible, but I'm not totally sure the Azerbaijani Railways site looks fully up to date(?). Does anyone have any advice that has done this trip recently? Thanks in advance.

I visited Nagorno-Karabakh years ago through Armenia, I want to visit Azerbaijan again recently, is it possible? Also I had visited Azerbaijan before I went to Armenia.
I have a new passport, the Nagorno-Karabakh visa and stamp had been appeared on my expired passport which I won't take it with me. Does anybody visited Azerbaijan after had visited Nagorno-Karabakh? thanks for your answering.
My girlfriend and I will be arriving in Baku late on a Wednesday night and we will then have three full days to explore, as we leave on a Sunday morning. What day trips would you suggest? We are thinking of visiting Gobustan and the mud volcanoes but not sure whether Quba or Sheki are doable, or if we should spend 2 days in Baku.
Also, does anyone have any suggestions for live Azeri music venues in Baku (similar to meyhanes in Turkey)?
Thanks in advance!
Hi Everyone! My boyfriend and I have 5 days in Azerbaijan, and we're planning to see Baku, Quba, and Xinaliq. To those of you who have experience traveling through Azerbaijan, does this seem like the best itinerary to you? Are there other mountain villages nearby that you think are good to supplement and/or replace Xinaliq? Is Quba worth stopping in, or should we view it as a transport hub? Should we prioritize any "can't miss" towns or sights near Baku? We're hoping to see village life…
My weekend trip to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, taking a stroll in the Old City, enjoying some tasty Azeri Plov turşu qovurma at Restoran Qazmaq, marvelling at the very modern architecture of the Heydar Aliyev Center and visiting the bubbling mud volcanoes of Qobustan:
I searched information about this before I left home, bit didn't find much. Perhaps this will help someone.
Uzbekistan: Embassy in Badamdar (part of Baku) is not easy to find. If you don't take a taxi, bus 53 passes nearby. Get off at the bus stop just under the power line at the level of the high TV-tower. Walk 50 m back and take the small street that you just passed on your right.
The embassy is open to receive visa applications on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 am till 12 noon…
I am looking for the easiest/cheapest way to obtain an Azeri Visa (transit or tourist visa) while travelling in Georgia. My plan is to enter Azerbaijan overland from the north (from Dagestan, Russia - already have Russian visa). Pls advise:
1) how long would it take?
2) how much would it cost?
3) what kind of documents do I need: outbound flight, hotel booking, LOI, etc?
BTW have a EU passport.
Thsnk you in advance!!
