Some of Naschmarkt’s ‘stands’ take on the proportions of the Belvedere. Neni is no exception. The area downstairs is mostly used as a cafe and bar, and upstairs is a main eating area where tasty delights mostly have a Middle Eastern focus. Dishes such as caramelised aubergine with ginger and chilli (€9) are served alongside expertly prepared lamb chops with truffle-laced polenta (€14) or a pulse ragout with cranberries and rice (€9.50). Tables can be at a premium most nights, so reserve ahead or drop by outside prime time. Breakast is served until 2pm.
