The oldest Heuriger in Vienna has been going strong since 1740 – back in the day Schubert, Strauss and Crown prince Rudolf all kicked back a glass or three here; today it welcomes a grand mix of visitors and locals. It’s family run and operated, with the rustic ambience that a Heuriger ought to have, without the trek out to the far reaches of the city – the usual buffet is on offer, plus a handful of schnitzels.
