Silvretta Arena information
Lonely Planet review
Ischgl is the centrepiece of the vast Silvretta Arena, offering fabulous skiing on 238km of groomed slopes, ultramodern lifts (heated seats and all) and few queues. Suited to all except absolute beginners, the resort has great intermediate runs around Idalp, tough black descents at Greitspitz and Paznauer Taya, and plenty of offpiste powder to challenge experts. Skiing to Samnaun in Switzerland for lunch adds the novelty factor. Boarders can play on the halfpipe, jumps, rails and boarder-cross at two snowparks.
