Lonely Planet review
This quirky hotel has two extraordinary suites (8 and 10) with upstairs and downstairs sections joined by a spiral staircase. This hotel is not bright and modern, but it is central, comfortable and has a free sauna.
Our independent authors have visited Cityhotel Ratheiser and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Klagenfurt.
Description provided by property
The Cityhotel Ratheiser is a stylish and traditional hotel in the centre of Klagenfurt, only a few minutes’ walk from the major sights. The listed building was constructed in 1760. The 2 stone lions at the entrance are silent witnesses of the past, once being part of the eastern gate of Carinthia’s capital. The charming Cityhotel Ratheiser offers a rich breakfast buffet, an exclusive tea parlour, a well-stocked wine cellar and the “Venus sauna island”. An internet terminal is available at the reception.
