Getting there & away
St Gilgen is 50 minutes from Salzburg by Postbus (€5.40), with hourly departures until early evening; some buses continue on to Stobl and Bad Ischl (€4.40, 34 minutes). The bus station is near the base station of the cable car. Highway 154 provides a scenic route north to Mondsee.
