Lonely Planet review for Il Sole

The wood-fired pizza at this authentic trattoria is delicious. The smiley Italian owner starred on the German TV series DasTraumschiff (Love Boat), and the evidence is plastered all over the walls in the entrance.

    Ideal location for the perfect meal

    During my four day stay in Salzburg I went here twice, both for the food and location. Set blow a sheer rock edge, and looking down into the old town this makes a nice night out.

    Food was excellent and good value for money as featured in Lonely Planet's Europe on a Shoestring guide.

    Try the Carbonara and Veal Saltimbocca.
