There’s a gingerbready feel about this restaurant, with its fairy lights, wonky walls and low beams. Stone steps twist up to intimate cubbyholes (some just big enough for four people), where you can savour 650 years of history, prime views of the square and flavours such as stroganoff and sander fillet.
