A string of sandy, compact camp sites line the coast within the park. Facilities and shade are minimal, though most have toilets and some shelter from prevailing winds. To avoid long peak-season queues (from 7am!) at the park entrance station, consider pre-booking a site (at least 48 hours ahead) through the DEC. Only certain sites can be booked online; the rest are allocated upon arrival at the entrance station (not the visitor centre!) – ask for a generator-free site if you're after peace and quiet.
