Lonely Planet review for Matso’s Broome Brewery

There’s no better spot in Broome to kick back with a beer than Matso’s wide verandahs overlooking Roebuck Bay. The wonderful award-winning beers are brewed on site – the Monsoonal Blonde is sensational – and there’s live music on Sundays in the courtyard from 4pm to 7pm, and occasional DJs and bands on weekend nights.

    too much attitude

    muddy99 does not recommend this,

the service is crap and the staff are rude. Some of the beers are great, others are abominations. The live music is usually good. The view is better up the road at Tides.

I dined here 3 times. I did not ask for much, just a side serve of chips. The first time, it was mid afternoon, and the chips arrived after 10 minutes. The second time, it was 1.30 pm, busy, as there was a band playing, and the chips took an hour, but the third time, I waited from 7.00 pm until the entire restaurant had been served and gone home - 1.45. Every time I asked where are the chips, I was told, coming, just a minute or two. Nice atmosphere, good chips, but not again.
