Shepparton train station is east of the town centre. There are daily V/Line (13 61 96) trains and buses to/from Melbourne ($30, 2½ hours), and buses to/from Cobram ($10).

V/Line buses also connect with Wodonga ($28) and Benalla ($10) daily, and with Mildura ($48) and Bendigo ($13) three times a week.
