Lonely Planet review
A modern purpose-built double-storey backpackers has rooms with western views, a huge shared kitchen and an even bigger lounge and bar area. It’s big on recycling and the toilets are ecofriendly, too. Offers bike hire and tours in the area.

Description provided by property
We are a new, low-frills hostel located on Victoria’s Great Ocean Road, only a 10 minute drive from the iconic Twelve Apostles. Since opening in late 2009 we have provided an exceptionally clean, very safe and sociable place catering for the basic things our guests need on their Great Ocean Road road-trips.
However, above everything else we recognise the thing that our guest’s really, reeealllllyyyy want is maximum “bang for their buck” (value for money). So, based on that we have shaped our business to let us deliver on one, simple promise - to be the best value, low-cost, roofed accommodation provider on the Great Ocean Road! And to help with that, we continue to drive our normal bed prices to levels that are as low as we can make, plus cook-up some quirky specials for October...
The TBB (Twelve-Buck-Bed). We will make one random TBB bed available every night, for the eye-wateringly low price of $12.00. As you should expect, there are a few Ts and Cs linked to this offer (for example, the TBB MUST be booked through this site on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Once a TBB has been booked, we cannot reload more TBBs onto this site). And why $12.00? Twelve Apostles - Twelve Dollars. We think it kinda' makes sense.
We have also come up with an awesome $18.00 meal-and-drink deal, with our local pub. Available exclusively to hostel guests, this deal provides incredible savings (almost 45%) on food and drink combos that allow you to enjoy a full-on main meal, with a drink, at pre-Y2K prices. (Details from reception.)
Guests staying on a Friday or Saturday night can take advantage of our free late (midday) check-out. (Details from reception.)
Like we mentioned above, we run a hostel that provides the important things guests need, and the cool things they want. We are constantly exploring funky new ways of delivering the best value we can, and love attracting solid rankings and reviews reflecting that. (In fact, we encourage you to read other guest’s reviews: see what they think about our place. We reckon their comments paint a pretty decent picture of how things roll.)
So if you are hunting for really, really well-valued accommodation on the Great Ocean Road, drop in and say Hi. We would love to host you under our roof for a night or two!
