Thank you !

Hi all,
Also when I arrive to Sydney, is it worth the walk from domestic airport to mascot station to save $15 or so on the train fare and pay just $5ish to my accommodation?
I have a 7.25 am flight leaving Sydney for cairns on a Monday. When should I leave my hostel? I'm staying in the Wooloomooloo area.

Hi there,

I have been planning my WHV trip to Aus for a few months now and I am all booked to leave London on November 1st!! I also applied for my visa this morning and have already been accepted! It's beginning to feel super real now and i'm pretty excited, although I think I am beginning to overthink/worry about a few things.

Is there anything you would suggest I plan before I arrive in Aus? Like my greyhound bus pass?

I have also booked my first nights stay in a private room of a hostel so…

Rent a camper

Hi all

My family and I (2 Adult, two young children) planning a 2-3 months roadtrip in Australia between Dec 17 and Feb 18. We just started our investigation and realized that renting a decent camper via a Swiss travel agent becomes an expensive excercise. Was therefore wondering if anybody can help with a German/Austrian based agend or international Specialist and wheter there are any experience you can share.

Thanks

Stefan

Hi,
My wife, daughter and I are going on a 7 night camper van trip from Melbourne next year. Should we go North towards Sydney and back or the other way?
Whilst we want to see as much as we can, we don't want to spend 6 hours on the road every day!
We've never been to Australia before so ridiculously excited and want to keep it interesting for our 14 year old obviously, so beaches and animals for her!!
Any obvious suggestions, places to plan ahead with overnight powered pitches etc?

Hi all. Arriving in oz next month (may) got 3 months to go from Melbourne to Darwin. Thinking about renting or buying a car / small van to drive up and back down east coast. Found a small car with bed in back to rent from wicked' for like 3,000 $ for 2 months. But thinking buying a cheap car to sleep in the back would be cheaper as can sell it afterwards .. any input would be aprrsciated. Thanks

Then 3 days to drive to Tenant Creek and take the Barkley Highway to Riversleigh and then on to Normanton, Riverleigh and Cairns, (5 days mostly driving)Up to Cooktown then back down to Undara and somehow fly to Brisbane to visit Fraser Island.

1. Because of our ages (77 and 80) I am concerned about a breakdown…

Day 1, half day - opera at Sydney opera house
Day 2 - hop on/off ride through Sydney, a visit to the zoo
Day 3 - Bondi beach morning/afternoon, dinner cruise evening
Day 4 - Bridge climb, walking around/exploring.

Looking at it, it seems reasonable. The only non-flexibles are opera and dinner cruise.
Is the zoo really doable in less than 2 hours? Seems short, but we only really care to see kangaroos.
Is the climb really 3 hours, or does that include getting there, prep time, etc?

Anything else to…

Hi we are travelling to Australia in late February next year. We have lots of places that we would like to visit and thought of hiring a camper van and travelling from Adelaide up to Brisbane. We also want to do a couple of days in Alice Springs. I am very much interested in diving and marine life/nice beaches etc. The more I look at the scenery around WA the more I want to include this into our itinerary but I am worried that we will just be driving all of the time and not spending much time…

Hi there, I'm planning a one-month trip in early June and was hoping to get some advice on an itinerary. I'm trying to squeeze in the classic east coast tour with a visit to Uluru - any tips/advice on the route would be much appreciated. No specific start and end point in mind... many thanks
