Hi,

I've been searching for days around google (and the forums) and couldn't get any useful information for my situation. I'm a Malaysian who am currently studying in Osaka - Japan right now and am very interested to apply for the work and holiday visa to go to Australia. The problems is, the number of Malaysians who can be granted the W&HV is limited to only 100 people a year.

So I was wondering, since I am a student/sort of resident in Japan as I've stayed here for 3 years (total 4 years)…

Hi!

I'm Sophie, 25 & about to head out to Australia on a WHV. Arrive in Melbourne November 7th and as it's getting closer I am getting completely terrified and excited in equal measures! Never travelled alone before; I'm slightly overwhelmed at the thought of it but I know that so many people go out solo and I shouldn't worry about meeting people (right!!?)

Just have no idea about where to stay/how long for at first. My plan is to be in Melbourne for a few months at least, in order to get…

Hi,

My girlfriend and i are currently planning our trip to Oz. We land in Melbourne on the 8th December we will be making our way up north to Sydney to meet our friends for New Years. ANY TIPS? We want to rent a camper for 1 month/4 people to travel the coast from Cairns back down to Sydney ready for their flight back home. Could anyone point me in the right direction for camper vans that sleep 4 people.

Also is it just as wise to travel from Sydney to Cairns then fly back down?

If anyone…

HI all

I'm a student currently living in Sydney and I'm planning a trip to Byron Bay next month (about 20 Sep) and probably stay there for 3 nights

I have 4 options but I'm not sure which is the best
*Going by Greyhound from Sydney Central to Byron Bay
*Going by plane from Sydney to Ballina airport then take a bus
*Going by train from Sydney Central to Casino Station (North Coast NSW Line)
*Hitch-hike (I found a website called http://www.coseats.com/ which I think could be a good option)

THANK…

Hey there,

I'm solo-traveling the east coast next month and I'm looking for the best way to travel to Brisbane, starting from Sydney. I want to make a few stops in between which I'm not sure of yet.
I looked into the short(30days) hop-on-hop-off passes from Greyhound for around 100$. Is this the best deal in your opinion? Or are there better ways? Unless I find a small group at a hostel I don't want to rent a car, so I thought the busses might be a good idea.
Thanks for your help! :)

Hi all,

I was browsing the internet for some answers to my questions and came across this site so I'm hoping someone can help :-)

My partner and I have come to Australia on a WHV after visiting family here a couple of years ago and we left wanting to see more. We've been here a few weeks (started in SA and working our way up) but so far its just not pushing the same buttons as it did before. We aren't really enjoying ourselves and have even discussed returning home as we just aren't enjoying…

I'm traveling Dallas - Sydney - Christchurch, NZ with Qantas next month, and recently found out I'll have to pay extra to select my seats before the 24-hour check-in time. I'll be by myself so luckily it's not important to find two or more seats together, but I do have a high preference for a window seat so I can sleep more comfortably. Has anyone waited and found that there are plenty of seats available online 24 hours before check-in? Or were there very few seats to choose from by then?

Hi there,

I am a 24 yr old female and will be going to Australia in December for 24 days. This is my first solo/backpacking trip. I will be traveling the east coast going from Cairns to Sydney for 2 weeks and then staying in Sydney for a week. I want to bring a backpack since I will be picking up and moving almost every day for the first 2 weeks. Plus I think I just want to have that backpacking feel to the trip. Others think I should bring a luggage on wheels because I have a bad back but I…
