Day 1: Alice Springs -- Ayers Rock Resort
Leaving Alice Springs, travel through the classic outback landscapes of the West MacDonnell and James ranges en route to Ayers Rock. On the way, stop at a desert camel farm for a camel ride (own expense) and take in panoramic views of majestic Atila (Mt Conner). In the afternoon, visit the magical domes of Kata Tjuta (formerly known as the Olgas) and take a guided walk along a former creek bed winding between the towering domes at Walpa Gorge. As the sun sinks toward the horizon, travel to the sunset viewing area to enjoy nibbles and wine while you watch Uluru’s changing colors. Day 2: Ayers Rock Resort -- Uluru -- Ayers Rock Resort (D)
