Itinerary
Day 1 Perth/Wave Rock/Fitzgerald River National Park
Depart the Western Australian capital of Perth and travel over the Darling Ranges. Explore Wave Rock before discovering the wonders of the biosphere of Fitzgerald River National Park.
Days 2-3 Esperance/Cape Le Grand National Park
Travel through Esperance on Western Australia's south coast to Cape Le Grand National Park. Enjoy the Western Australian attractions of granite, bush and beach with hikes, swimming, snorkelling and fishing all on offer.
Days 4-5 The Great Australian Bight/Nullarbor Plain
See the old telegraph town of Eucla that has been buried by sand dunes. Explore the huge expanses of karst limestone in the Nullabor and its enormous underground lake system. Keep an eye out for the full gamut of native Australian wildlife.
Day 6 Eyre Peninsula
Stop at the sublime stretch of coastline that is Bairds Bay. perhaps take the opportunity to head out to sea and swim with the dolphins and sea lions. Wonder at the curious formations of Murphy's Haystacks and explore the Talia caves before picking up the pace with some exhilarating sandboarding down nearby sand dunes.
Days 7-8 Port Lincoln
Feel brave? Head out and come face-to-face with a Great White Shark on an optional cage dive. Otherwise, learn to surf the waves at one of Australia's top surf spots. Visit the spectacular Australian coastlines of the Whalers Way Conservation Park then see Australia's unique creatures at the Glen Forest Wildlife Park. After a day of action, spend the night relaxing at a quintessential Aussie pub.
Day 9 Flinders Ranges/Adelaide
Journey into the rusty, rugged gorges, abandoned homesteads and ghost gums of the southern Flinders Ranges National Park before finishing the adventure in Adelaide, also known as the 'City of Churches'.
