Itinerary
Day 1 Adelaide/Flinders Ranges
See the charming beauty of Adelaide before an adventure into the Flinders Ranges. Journey into a land of rugged gorges, abandoned homesteads and ghost gums. Ride into camp on camels and hear stories of the Dreamtime around the campfire.
Day 2 Wilpena Pound
According to Dreamtime legend, two giant snakes coiled together to form the massive wall of the Wilpena Pound. Enjoy a bush walk and take in the magnificent views of this natural amphitheatre.
Day 3 Oodnadatta Track
Follow the Oodnadatta track into the heart of Australia. Then cross the dingo fence and quench that thirst in an outback pub. Enjoy a bush camp under millions of stars
Day 4 Coober Pedy
The underground town of Coober Pedy is famous for its opal mining and subterranean dwellings. Camp in the magnificent Painted Desert.
Day 5 Simpson Desert
Head into a region of stark natural beauty in the Simpson Desert. Relax in Dalhousie Hot Springs and visit the geographical centre of Australia.
Days 6-7 Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Prepare to be awed by the sight of Uluru. Circle the base of the rock to learn about its spiritual significance and witness its changing colours at sunset.
Day 8 Kata Tjuta (The Olgas)
Explore Kata Tjuta and hike the eerie Valley of the Winds. Sleep among red dunes and desert oaks.
Day 9 Kings Creek Station/Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon)
Pay a visit to a working cattle and camel station before a guided walk through the gorges and valleys of Watarrka National Park.
Day 10 Alice Springs
Travel along the Western MacDonnell Ranges, stopping at Glen Helen Gorge and Ormiston Gorge en route to Alice Springs.
