Itinerary
Day 1 Hobart/Freycinet National Park/Bicheno
Explore the beautiful Freycinet Peninsula. Don't miss the optional walk to Wineglass Bay, voted one of the world's top beaches. Afterwards, travel to Bicheno where there's a chance to encounter penguins at dusk.
Day 2 Bay of Fires/Launceston
Soak up the scenery on a walk through the stunning Bay of Fires. Eat lunch at the fishing village of St Helens before heading to picturesque Launceston.
Day 3 Cradle Mountain/Strahan
Spend the day at Cradle Mountain exploring the forests, lakes and mountains of this pristine World Heritage listed national park. Choose to take a guided tour to find out more about the flora and fauna of Cradle Mountain or wander along the many walking trails at your own pace.
Day 4 Strahan
Try Tassie's famous freshly shucked oysters in the seaside town of Strahan. While here, why not take a Gordon River Cruise, splash out on a sea plane ride over the region or go quad-biking in the Henty Sand Dunes.
Day 5 Lake St Clair/Hobart
Spend time exploring peaceful Lake St Clair, home to an amazing array of native wildlife including the elusive platypus. In the afternoon, travel through the Derwent Valley back to Hobart.
Day 6 Port Arthur/Hobart
Meet endangered Tasmanian Devils at a wildlife sanctuary then head south to the photogenic Tasman Peninsula. Learn about convict-life on a visit to the historic Port Arthur area. Use free time to explore the old buildings and chilling prison ruins before returning to Hobart, Tasmania's capital city.
