Lonely Planet review for Harbourside

The first major Darling Harbour development, Harbourside shopping centre is like that nightclub guy still wearing a pirate shirt and an unreconstructed mullet; its 1980s stylings are no match for the chic constructions loitering on the other side of the harbour. Billboards insist that ‘Harbourside is Happening’, but we’re not convinced. That said, some quality restaurants line the waterfront, it’s a good place to pick up souvenirs, and you can go 10-pin bowling here.
