Lonely Planet review for Tetsuya’s

Down a clandestine security driveway, Tetsuya’s – recently rated one of the top 50 restaurants in the world – could well be the ultimate dining experience. Japanese-born Tetsuya Wakuda creates 13 degustation courses of fusion food with lashings of flavour. You’ll find a perfect match for the confit of ocean trout in the 3000-bottle wine cellar. Book way ahead.

    Oh Yes! (but only Once)

We were lucky to get a waitlist call for lunch on a Saturday , outside Sydney sweltered at 38+ degrees - but inside the Tetsuyas bubble it was totally cool. It is a wonderful experience, like going to show really . Some of the dishes were incredible, some jsut what you should get for the price! Service was friendly and not a bit over the top or arrogant as sometimes happens in 'the best' restaurants. It IS expensive - but then you dont eat anything else that day! Special Occassion stuff for sure - but the real deal. Were we to do it again we would go with others, rather than do the table for 2.
