There may well be better places for seafood, but few can compete with Doyles’ location or its history – this restaurant first opened in 1885. Catching the harbour ferry to Watsons Bay for a seafood lunch is a quintessential Sydney experience.

    RIPOFF ALERT - RIPOFF ALERT!!!!

    TOURIST TRAP..... My advise... Don't trust these people, DO NOT order a cocktail - you will not get what you have ordered, DO NOT order any crumbed fish as you will most likely get shark!! Don't trust this place - if you must, order prawns, lobster, wine and beer - something you recognise....

    I'm an Eastern suburbs girl, eat out all the time, this is my first review (which I will paste everywhere I can).

    Buyer beware - there are many superb restaurants in the area - I recommend that you choose another - or go next door to the pub - great food at affordable prices - same view....

    Doyles on the Beach is not worth the money - the food is similar to a take away fish shop (edible but not worth the $$)

    Come on Sydney, we can do better!!!!

    Good for: giving a big miss!

    Not good for: Value for your money!!

    Doyles at Watson's Bay is one of Sydney's greatest restaurants, being a regular spot for locals as well as tourists. I have been going to Doyles at Watson's Bay for years, and the food, atmosphere and service have always been great. Particularly a must on a hot Aussie summer day!

    A Summer Must Do

    An absolute must for Sydney-ites and tourists a like is the seasonal migration to this divine place. The seafood and great wines are a perfect compliment to a Summer day.
    Grab a ferry and half the fun will be getting there!
