For three weeks only in 2014, a contemporary production of 'Madama Butterfly' will be presented on a purpose-built floating stage on the shimmering waters of Sydney Harbour.

Never before performed in such a fabulous setting, this contemporary production of one of the most famous operas in the world – Madama Butterfly – features an enormous full moon, a dynamic moving set and spectacular fireworks exploding against Sydney’s magnificent harbor. Opera on the Harbour will open on March 21, 2014 for an exclusive three-week season, playing nightly on a purpose-built floating stage on Sydney Harbour, with the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge as a backdrop, this is a musical performance you won't forget.
Come early and soak up the atmosphere as the whole precinct is transformed into an exquisite Japanese garden, with Japanese-inspired bars and restaurants offering a wide range of pre-performance drinking and dining options (at own expense).
