Bus
Murray Bridge Passenger Service (08-8415 5579; www.murraybridgebus.com.au) runs several daily services between Adelaide and Murray Bridge ($18, 1¼ hours) and limited services to Mannum ($25, 2½ hours) from Monday to Friday.
Premier Stateliner (08-8415 5555) has daily services from Adelaide to Murray Bridge ($13, one hour), on its Mt Gambier service; its Riverland service stops in Waikerie ($34, 2½ hours), Kingston-on-Murray ($40, three hours), Barmera and Berri ($43, 3½ hours), and Loxton and Renmark ($43, four hours).
Car & motorcycle
There are many places where roads cross over the Murray by ferry. These are free and usually run 24 hours – phones are supplied to call the operator if the ferry is unattended.
