The best pub in the city, this legendary boozer attracts a kooky mix of post-work, punk and uni drinkers, shaking the day off their backs. Pull up a stool or a table in the grungy beer garden ( sooo much better without the smokers) and settle in for the evening. Music most nights; curry nights Wednesday and Thursday.

    Reliable and busy centre of Adelaide nightlife

    The Exeter on Rundle St is always worth a visit, as long as you can squeeze in and carve out a space for yourself in this often crowded bar. Good range of Coopers on tap. There are several rooms leading off the front and back bar, including a weather-enclosed beer garden. Often on the weekend you'll find a small live band squeezed into the front room blasting out tunes.
