A Whitsunday Adventure (A page from my Travel Journal). I had the most amazing time sailing around the Whitsunday islands. There were several firsts for me but I’ll get back to that later. Come Sail Away
Blog: maravorhees.com - 28 April 2010

Hamilton Island
Blog: Snaps and Flip Flops - 1 March 2010
August, 2008 - We went to Hamilton Island in August, which is the last month of winter in Australia. Of course, winter here is terribly mild compared to most, especially in northern Queensland. We spent 5 days and 6 nights in Hamilton Island, and only wish we could've stayed longer. There were just so much stuff to do and so many new things to try. Finally got the chance to see a koala (soo cute) and a kangaroo (who jumped at us from the bushes). I get to swim with turtles and watch humpback whales who came all the way from Antarctica to Queensland to enjoy the warmer waters.

What: Green tree ant Where: Whitsunday islands (Queensland, Australia) Note: I got the unique opportunity to taste a green tree ant during a bushwalk on one of the Whitsunday islands.
