Markwell Café & Bar

A lovely restaurant, a must go to. excellent food, could improve on the service but we might have been a one off!

One of the best things about Markwell's Cafe in Coolangatta is that it is, to the best of my knowledge, the only cafe in the whole Coolangatta/Tweed Heads area that has free wifi. And it's a good speed too! I've tested it twice now, once with a Linux OS - Asus eee - and once with Windows XP Home, on a Medion netbook. Instant connection - you get the code from the person at the counter.  Coffee is good too. I don't think the proprietors know what a boon their wifi can be for net-deprived travellers! I haven't had food here but the form here insists that I provide a food rating (memo LP - get your programmers to do better on this: why get people to make stuff up?) but on the basis that the coffee was good and I suppose coffee could be listed under food, I'm saying 4 for food.
