    Minus 5 Ice Lounge

Gimmicky but kinda fun if you don’t mind the cover charge, everything is made of ice at this bar: your glass, the seats and the vodka-stocked bar. There are even ice sculptures imported from Canada.

  3. Central

DJs bust out smooth beats at Central way before the nightclubs open their doors. This lounge and cocktail bar with outdoor seating also offers a cheap lunch menu, though most prefer three courses of mojitos.

  7. Northcliffe SLSC

A little south of Cavill Mall, this surf club sits directly on the beach. It's large and modern with zero intimacy, but the expansive ocean views go well with a coldie on a hot day.

  8. MP's

This popular gay club has cheap drinks and drag shows. On Friday and Saturday it fills with a happy, mixed crowd soaking up a generic nightclub atmosphere.

  9. Beer Garden

A very popular watering hole, the upstairs Beer Garden isn't a garden but a huge barn-like affair overlooking Cavill Ave. It's the place to start a night of clubbing.
