Lonely Planet review for Mecca Bah

You can't book at this swanky Middle Eastern-themed restaurant, but that's OK because it serves great cocktails while you wait. If you're with friends then choose a pile of dishes to share: the Lebanese sausages and chickpea battered mussels are particularly yummy, as are the lamb pizzas.

I eat at Mecca Bah regularly both lunch & dinner, with work colleagues, my partner, friends and extended family and have always enjoyed it. Relaxed atmosphere, excellent food, friendly & efficient service and exceptional value for money. Consistently brilliant dining experience.
Go early as they don't take bookings and there's always a line-up latewr on as it is really popular and tends to fill up any given night of the week. No rush over the Lunch period.

    dustylaptop recommends this,

Situated just on the end of the Fortitude Valley entertainment precinct and snuggled against the hipper end of upmarket suburb New Farm, Mecca Bah is a popular dining destination for young lovers, upwardly mobiles and hip young things. The upmarket design flair is softened a relaxed vibe and soft lighting, which explains all the hand holding in the corners. With an impeccable menu and wine list catered for those more particular about their crushed grapes, the restaurant is often close to capacity. Thankfully a quick turnover rarely leads to any lengthy waits, matched by the speedy service and fantastic food. Pick and choose from a finger friendly Mezze menu, with exceptional Boureks, or dive into the Tagines, with options for those who prefer their vegetables over delicately spiced lamb.

    Mecca Bah

    mjohnson27 recommends this,

Great Middle Eastern restaurant at the Emporium location in Fortitude Valley. Great location but it can be difficult getting a car park at times. Large restaurant with plenty of tables so whilst you can't book, there is rarely any requirement to wait for seating. You can't go past the pizzas at Mecca Bah and there is an option for take away as well.
