Lonely Planet review for Breakfast Creek Hotel
In a great rambling building dating from 1889, this historic pub is a Brisbane institution. Built in French Renaissance style, the pub encompasses various bars (including a beer garden and an art-deco 'private bar' where you can still drink draft beer tapped from a wooden keg). The stylish, modern Substation No 41 bar serves boutique beers and cocktails.

The best Sunday Afternoon Spent in Brisbane
taram332 recommends this,
The Breakfast Creek hotel offers so much more than just a local pub. A wide selection of beers and wines and spectacular food with their well know steaks the most popular option. The atmosphere is relaxed, casual and friendly with plenty of room and space to sit and relax. Being an open air establishment it can get hot in the summer months. Overall, a great pub that is a must see when you travel to Brisbane.

The Oldest and Best Pub in Brisbane
abianco recommends this,
The Breakfast Creek Hotel is a Brisbane institution - it's been around since 1889 and is serves beer off the wood - which makes it taste fantastic. It's a pub that's suitable for all tastes - Friday and Saturday night are popular with the party crowd, while Sunday is great for bringing the whole family to have lunch, especially their large and delicious steaks. The pub has a good selection of beers on tap and wine, and is a chilled out, unpretentious pub that will remain popular for as long as Brisbane is around.
