In an airy Polynesian-style thatched building overlooking a pool, the Déjà Vu sets the standard in Airlie. The menu is modern, but unpretentious, and takes its flavours from Asian and Mediterranean cuisines. The scallop pad thai is genius and the tiki torches are always firing. The slow-burning Sunday lunch (just $36 for eight courses) starts at noon; be sure to book ahead for ocean views.
