Hi, had applied for tourist visa for my wife and kid on 28th Feb'17. It has been almost one month and still status is "Under Process". I don't know what they mean by that. And when would we get the visa. Any such experiences??

Hi,

My husband and I are visiting Australia for the first time and it will actually be my first international trip as well! We are arriving from California on March 30 through April 14. We will be in Sydney from March 30 - April 6, then heading to Airlie Beach from April 6-April 9 and then driving up to the blue Mountains from April 9th through April 11th and then back to Sydney until our departure on the 14th. I've been monitoring the weather and it looks like on some days there will be…

Hi Everyone,

I am planning to go to Australia in april on a working holiday visa.
I want to do 88 days rural work so I can get my second year working visa.

I do have some questions.

  • In which area/city can I find fulltime rural jobs in april that pay well?
  • Is there enough rural work from april-juni/juli?

I prefer going to places with nice weather, where it is not to hot or to cold.
I also prefer to work in a farm/place where more then 1/2 backpackers work.

Does anyone have tips?

Looking to fly from UK to Perth, there rent a van and drive to Sydney, from there fly to Uluru and then onto Cairns. Once there drive down east coast ending up in Brisbane. Just wondering if this would be possible to do in a month or would we be rushing to get to places

Been thinking about it for a while and I have decided I want to go to Australia when I finish university.

Il be 22 years old and finish uni on the 8th of May this year and il most likely be free until September. Could possibly have a year but most likely be looking for a grad job September time. Il be travelling solo.

I'm a bit undecided as to what I should do in terms of should I travel or go for a working visa.

After flights il probably have £3000 to do whatever or 5000 Australian dollars.

Thinking of doing the Gordon River cruise in April but not sure whether to do the full or half day trip. Do you see / do more on the full day cruise?
Also is it worth purchasing the dearer seats?

Has anyone of you guys ever booked with campervanfinder.com.au? If yes, how did you experience everything? They seem to have excellent language skills... so that conversation on needs is perfect...but how about everything after booking?

Hi, we are a couple (age 38 & 48 yrs) with 4 weeks travelling in Australia (arriving 26th March in Melbourne) and departing from Sydney on 23rd April). Our itinerary is pretty much sorted but we could do with some help deciding on a couple of things so we would love to hear your comments. We are fit and active and enjoy the outdoors and nature (except for leeches and mosquitoes!) as well as city sightseeing and nightlife. We will be doing things like snorkelling, hiking and sailing.

Has anyone…

Hey everyone,

I'm planning to move to Australia in September of this year and get a working holiday visa, and my question is: Is it a better idea to plan this trip entirely independently, or give all the responsibility to a company such as STA Travel who plan nearly everything for you? I think all the legalities and stuff would be so stressful to plan alone.

I'm a fairly independent person, however something like travelling to Australia is such a massive thing, I've never planned anything…

Giant TVs

The bloke three doors up the road from me has just got a new giant TV.

I can watch it when I sit out on the balcony. Its like going to the drive-in except there is no sound.
