Lonely Planet review for Flavours of India
There’s no Bollywood drama in the decor of this humble family restaurant. While covering ubiquitous curries and tandoori favourites, the menu includes a smattering of non-Indian meals. There are several vegetarian dishes, and though fully licensed, BYO is also possible.

Great Indian Quisine not far from CBD
coxpaul recommends this,
Goldie and his crew do a really nice job with just about everything they make. The vindaloo and butter chicken are our kid's favorites. The biryani (hard to find... look under rice items) is a meal in itself and very, very good. Spicey! The breads are also very good. This is not an inexpensive place to dine, but you will enjoy it. And you can get a King Fisher to make the meal complete. The inside eating areas are a bit loud and "bright" acoustically. I recommend eating outside, after sunset of course, or you'll need a flynet! Goldie also has a daytime luncheon joint in the CBD by the Coles grocery store. Check it out as a tasty alternative to the chain fastfood options.
