Lonely Planet review
With its leafy beer garden, madly popular with travellers and locals alike, and great poolside area, Annie's is a lively place to hang out any night of the week. This is only a problem if you actually enjoy sleeping. The converted motel rooms (all with bathroom and some with a fridge) are right on top of the bar and cleanliness issues (mainly bedbug related) continue to be raised by readers, so check a few rooms before settling in.

Welcome to Annies Place, the funkiest hostel in the 'Alice'! We have 31 fabulously decorated rooms set around our pool. Our dorm rooms have their own en-suites and air-conditioning. We have lovely private doubles with our without en-suites.
Situated in the CBD we are walking distance to all the major shops and tourist spots. Down the road is the world famous Royal Flying Doctor Museum, Old Gaol and the Reptile Centre.
Our licensed bar is one of the most popular in town so be ready for a party! Our amazing chef prepares with love our famous $10 meals for dinner and our sexy bar staff can serve you your $12 jugs daily.
