We are starting to prepare stuff for our summer travel to Australia = 6 weeks in Sydney, Red Center, Darwin region, Cairns / Cape Tribulation area.
Apart from the usual stuff, I was wondering if you had any specific recommendations on things we should bring. I read about getting an insect head protection for the red Center. Anything else health wise ??
Any recommendation on material for visiting the red center ? we are planning to do some hiking.
Anything about insect repellent ? insect…
We are planing a trip to Australia in November this year.
Our plan so far is drive from Sydney to Melbourne (about 2 weeks), then go to Carins for 2 more weeks. Then end i Sydney.
We would love to go snorkling (none of us is divers) and se the Graet Barrier Reef. But we have read about the jellyfish. Is it possible to snorkel in November? Where is it best? We could move from Carins if that is necessary.
Is there a live-aboard for snorkling that's not super-expensive?
Hope for help :-)
I'm going to spend 3 weeks in Australia in August with my husband.
We have 2 main topics:
- 9 days 4wd driving from Broom to Darwin (through Gibb river road). Are 9 days enough for this itinerary? Is it possible/safe to free camping on the way? Can we find easly food? Also fresh vegetables? We are vegetarian so I need to plan supplies in advence...
- 5 days in the Whitesundays Islands
We were thinking to spend few days on cruise around Withsundays.
We were wondering about the water temperature.
Hey, I've just applied for my 1-year working holiday visa, aged 30 and am applying for a job with a 457 on arrival.
I'm planning to spend at least a couple of years around Sydney, I'll see how I feel about staying longer.
I'm putting my flat on the market to rent and have slimmed down my wardrobe by 80%, so I can fit everything into one suitcase. I'm a session musician outside work, so am taking one of my guitars with me, as I play every day. I may bring another over when I first visit home…
Hi my mum and I will be going to Sydney in the middle of July for one night. We arrive in Sydney at 7:30am and will be flying out the next day at 9:00pm. The only thing we have planned so far is going to the AFL that night. I was wondering what some good recommendations for accommodation are, that are reasonably priced and have good a location. I was also wondering what places and activities are recommended when in Sydney for such as short mount of time. I would also like to know the best…
Hi guys, I'm planning to visit Sydney from at noon of 8 May and leave Monday(9 May) Morning.
What would you recommend me to do during this short staying?
It's my first time to stay in Sydney and I booked a hotel near The Rocks.
Any recommendation would be appreciated.
Im planning a 2 month trip to Australia (Feb/March) with my boyfriend, and are struggling to put an itinerary in place. It seems like almost everyone spends a lot of time on the east coast - but I am sceptical. We am not after beach parties, booze and theme parks and super crowded coast lines, and I am getting the impression that I find a lot of that there. Sounds cheesy, but I would like to see the real Australia, outback, nature, mountains, diving, etc... without missing out on the…
Hi every one I'm Billy,
I'm currently in Adelaide and been here for two weeks at a friends but will be going to the city in a hostel for abit to see if I can make some travel companions!
Just wanting to know if any one is or will be in Melbourne on the 7th onwards? We could meet up an go from there!
We are planning to visit Australia at the end of May for approximately 15 days (from Jakarta). We would like to rent a car for a relaxing roadtrip. This will be our first visit to Australia and we would like to see some typical Australia landscapes, but defenitely do not want to rush! We are thinking of 2 options:
- perth-broome (possibly adding a little of the Kimberly region if time allows).
- darwin-Alice springs, making side trips to kakadu and uluru.
We are mostly interested in nature…
