I'm a student currently living in Sydney and I'm planning a trip to Byron Bay next month (about 20 Sep) and probably stay there for 3 nights
I have 4 options but I'm not sure which is the best
*Going by Greyhound from Sydney Central to Byron Bay
*Going by plane from Sydney to Ballina airport then take a bus
*Going by train from Sydney Central to Casino Station (North Coast NSW Line)
*Hitch-hike (I found a website called http://www.coseats.com/ which I think could be a good option)
I have a ETA for Australia and from what I can tell. It is valid for 1 year but I have to leave every 3 months.
What is the cheapest and easiest place to fly to from Perth on short notice???? I gotta go and come back in 3 days!
I'm solo-traveling the east coast next month and I'm looking for the best way to travel to Brisbane, starting from Sydney. I want to make a few stops in between which I'm not sure of yet.
I looked into the short(30days) hop-on-hop-off passes from Greyhound for around 100$. Is this the best deal in your opinion? Or are there better ways? Unless I find a small group at a hostel I don't want to rent a car, so I thought the busses might be a good idea.
Thanks for your help! :)
I was browsing the internet for some answers to my questions and came across this site so I'm hoping someone can help :-)
My partner and I have come to Australia on a WHV after visiting family here a couple of years ago and we left wanting to see more. We've been here a few weeks (started in SA and working our way up) but so far its just not pushing the same buttons as it did before. We aren't really enjoying ourselves and have even discussed returning home as we just aren't enjoying…
I'm traveling Dallas - Sydney - Christchurch, NZ with Qantas next month, and recently found out I'll have to pay extra to select my seats before the 24-hour check-in time. I'll be by myself so luckily it's not important to find two or more seats together, but I do have a high preference for a window seat so I can sleep more comfortably. Has anyone waited and found that there are plenty of seats available online 24 hours before check-in? Or were there very few seats to choose from by then?
I am a 24 yr old female and will be going to Australia in December for 24 days. This is my first solo/backpacking trip. I will be traveling the east coast going from Cairns to Sydney for 2 weeks and then staying in Sydney for a week. I want to bring a backpack since I will be picking up and moving almost every day for the first 2 weeks. Plus I think I just want to have that backpacking feel to the trip. Others think I should bring a luggage on wheels because I have a bad back but I…
I am UK citizen on an extended trip in South East Asia/Australasia. I am currently in Papua New Guinea. From here, I will be flying to Cairns, Australia by Qantas (operated by Qantas Link). I have already applied for and received my Visa Grant letter from the Australian Immigration through their online eVisitor system.
Question: Will I have to have a return/onward ticket before the airline will let me board the plane to AU?
I ask this because starting with my flight from Taipei to Manila with…
I move to Australia on the 31st August and plan to stay and work for around 3-4 months. Most of my friends who are in Australia have signed their tax papers as "resident for tax purposes."
It has come to my knowledge that if you stay on Australia for under 183 days (6 months), you are not classed as a resident for tax purposes.
Hence my problem...
If I signed up as resident for tax purposes and then left after 4 months, will I then owe tax up to the 32.5% rate?
Do you HAVE to…
My family (2 adults, 9 year old twins and baby) is planning a trip to Australia in March 2017. My sister-in-law and her family live there and we've visited them in their past two locations and had wonderful trips.
This time they are in Bunbury, south of Perth. We generally take 3 weeks. I am curious if anyone has any suggestions for great activities for a family along the Great Australian Bight - or a farmstay in the Southwest of the country. Some ideas I had on the coast were a spot we could…
