Hey guys and gals,

I'd like to go to Australia in September for 4 weeks. It'll be my first time in OZ. I haven't booked anything yet so I'm open to any suggestion on flights, itinerary, how to travel the coast (bustours?), which accommodations, what to see and to do etc.. For this short period of time, is it better to join an organzied bus tour with other young travellers or shall I just plan it all by myself and go by grehound buses?

I would very much appreciate your help!!

There are just…

Myself and my wife are travelling to Australia from the UK next February. We are planning on spending 4 weeks in Australia. We fly to Perth at the end of February. We're a bit stuck on the itinerary as there is so much we want to do and see. Originally, we thought of flying from Perth to Learmonth - then hiring a car and travelling back to Perth seeing sites along the way. Not sure we have enough time to do that now as we'll only have 7 - 10 days here. Was thinking of just flying to Learmonth…

Hi everyone!

I'm looking to do a road trip along the west coast of Australia, starting in Melbourne at the end of July, and finishing in Brisbane early November. Happy to stop off anywhere, I just want to see more of the country. If you're interested, drop me a message :)

Hi folks,

I am buying a vehicle on Broome to travel around the country, first leg being Darwin to Broome.

Taking Hwy 1 and jetting out to camp and hike the amazing sights. Itinerary includes;

Edith Falls
Katherine Gorge
Emma Gorge
El Questro Gorge
Echidna Chasm
Cathedral Gorge
Bungle Bungles
Wolfe Creek Crater
Tunnel Creek
Windjana Gorge

While I haven't bought my vehicle yet, it would likely be a wagon of sorts, modified in a way that it has a bed in the back.

Are these realistic places to visit…

WHV in Oz

How much money do people recommend you take when going to Oz on a WHV with intentions of living the shoestring life? I'm heading out in September with intentions of working for 6-10 months then travelling (not necessarily in Oz). Just trying to work out what sort of figure people manage to go over to Oz on a WHV with... Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated, cheers!

Hello everyone. We are trying to plan a three week trip to Australia for the end of Sept - beginning of Oct and would like advice on itinerary. We would like to do the Gold Coast Highway, Melbourne, Sydney, Uluru (Ayers Rock), the Whitsundays, Barrier Reef and Darwin. We are considering flying into Melbourne and out of Darwin but are not sure of the best way to organize the itinerary as to not spend time going back and forth. We want to drive the Gold Coast Highway, but would probably do…

Hi! My girlfriend and I are leaving Sydney the next Monday, we have a car and 19 days to go as far as we can, but we have to go back to Sydney at the end of the trip.

The idea is to do some camping, but I'm a bit afraid of the weather. Where do you think it would be possible to camp without freezing?

I think in Queensland the weather will be warmer, but I don't know about the distances. I wanna go to Airlie Beach but I don't know if is possible to do it and come back in 19 days. What do you…
