  2. Every December, the Meredith Music Festival rocks country Victoria on a patch of dirt an hour out of Melbourne. It's 72 hours of folk, rock, garage and punk music and inbetween, everyone sleeps wherever and however they can - usually with earplugs. It's a relaxed atmosphere but some take fashion on the fields very seriously! Animal costumes are not uncommon but I personally recommend a pair of high-cred gumboots.
  3. Lonely Planet author Marika McAdam shows us around an eclectic part of the Melbourne CBD - get button mania in the iconic Nicholson building, take a coffee at Degraves lane...and catch up with some gothic hairdressers.
