The market’s labyrinthine interior is packed to overflowing with an eccentric collection of stalls selling everything from carpets to bok choy (Chinese greens). It’s been on this site since 1864 and is a neighbourhood institution. The surrounding streets are conveniently dotted with decent cafés and other interesting specialty shops.
