Ceres is a 20-something-year-old community environment project built on a former tip. Stroll around the permaculture and bush-food nursery before refuelling with an organic coffee and cake at the pretty (and extremely popular) cafe. Children enjoy the natural miniworlds, and on market days you can buy organic and backyard-produced goodies while the kids marvel at the chooks and sheep. Ceres is the last stop on the 96 tram, hop off and follow the signs to your right.
