Abigail Crompton designs and commissions witty rethinks of everyday objects. Illustrative, hand-printed tea towels were the beginning, now there’s ‘artkerchiefs’, ‘bubkins’ and ‘artprons’. Both shop and gallery, it’s equally good for grabbing gifts or leisurely browsing.

    My favorite shop in the world

    Have been a huge follower of Third Drawer Down for many years and customer in their store since they opened 3 years ago. The curated mix of products makes me so happy, always something to chuckle about. The staff are a warm and helpful bunch of people and there service is personal.

    Hey Burgess1974 you should check the consumer affairs ruling on returning goods as Third Drawer Down seems by your comments that they were offering the appropriate legal terms of a credit. Sounds like you were having a bad day.

    Beware Over Priced items & Terrible Return Goods Policy..

    I recently shop at their store in George St., Fitzroy, Victoria. Had initially browsed around their products in the shop....found most items to be ridiculously over priced even for small shop!! however, bought large quantity of an item at supposedly negotiated wholesale price but have decided to return these within 24 hours, as these, I found to be overly priced also even at alleged wholesale prices and therefore unsuitable for resale and are not required for the original purpose.. Have phoned the manager (?) at the shop and was told that they don't give refunds for returned goods... they'll only give you credit in the form of a gift voucher!!! NOT MUCH FLEXIBILITY IN THEIR TRADING TERMS!!! Meaning you are forced to buy products from them using their own gift vouchers at overly priced items!!!

    Lesson Learnt? Don't waste time at this store...check out their ridiculously high prices first and their "One way - Only Their Way!!!" Returned Goods Policy...

    Will never go near this shop again.... and by the way...Parking is atrocious...another story..
