Lonely Planet review for Shakahari
Shakahari’s limited seasonal menu reflects both Asian and European influences, with dishes made from great produce. Established over 20 years ago, and bedecked with a wonderful collection of Asian antiques, Shakahari takes its mission seriously. If the weather is in your favour, ask to be seated in the palm-fringed courtyard. The curries, tagines (spicy Moroccan stews) and noodle dishes are delicious, whatever the setting.

Loves this place - food and ambience were great. The laksa was incredible. Had some issues with meat-eating friends not liking the place, but personally I think they were just a little closed minded to the whole eating-out-vegie thing.

awesome

I have eaten here many times over the years and never had a less than fantastic experience. Great value, beautiful food, lovely service. My only complaints are it can be a little loud, and a little more menu rotation wouldn't go astray. The menu changes seasonally, but always with a similiar structure (ie the pasta, the curry, the yam patties *which are awesome*, the laksa...)
