Lonely Planet review for Oriental Tea House

They’ve ditched the trolley ritual, but David Zhou’s intriguing Shanghainese offerings are just as good à la carte as off the cart. (And they still do the kid-pleasing lurid jellies for dessert.) The bright refit of an old pub is a departure from the norm too. The excellent teashop is worth a concerted postprandial browse.

Oriental Teahouse is always a winner!

    kezza2601 recommends this,

As soon as you enter the Oriental Tea House, you are in a world of calm and it is easy to forget that you're along one of the busiest roads in Melbourne. The beautiful layout of the restaurant is spaced and provides a airey and relaxing feel. The philosophy of Oriental Tea House is sharing food with your friends and family. This is a perfect reason to invite as many people as you can to this restaurant - so you can try out as many different dishes in a Yum Cha fashion. The food is fresh and interesting. There are so many items on the menu, it is impossible to be bored with this restaurant. Perhaps the only downside to the Oriental Tea House is that there is too much choice, leaving you scratching your head for a while in indecision. The service is impeccable, and the waiters always dressed professionally and serve you in a quick and easy and manner.
