Lonely Planet review for Cookie
Stylish and cheeky, this bar tiles its high walls with kitschy books and vinyl, and pours fine European, Asian and Oz beers. The wine list is commendable, the Thai-inspired tapas is classy, and jeans and a T-shirt are just as welcome as designer duds.

i was there with great expectations :) and ordered some taro dumplings with chilli soy as a starter and I chosen grilled mushrooms, banana chilli, pumpkin, eggplant & steamed cabbage with roasted garlic & chilli relish from the menu under the title "large dishes"...when the waiter arrived with a plate of chunk of cabbage ,a whole aubergine , BURNT couple of mushrooms and a whole pepper...i couldn't believe that it was A MAIN dish NOT a HUGE SIDE OF VEGETABLES...very disappointing...but yeah they were grilled perfectly except the burnt ones:) but was it a main course...I don t think so..and the dumplings was ok but nothing special...great decoration, very elegant place...over priced...

Leaves you wanting more!
lefreeq recommends this,
Found in the heart of the city on Melbourne's Swanston Street, Cookie is full of class and surprises. Whether you take the journey up with the lift or climb the several flights of stairs of the Curtin Building, the buzzing atmosphere hits you instantly, with a mixture of eclectic ambience and retro décor.
Though you may have to wait for your table, it is most definitely worth it. The menu offers delicious fusion and innovated selections. Having travelled to Asia myself, the food does not disappoint. It is reasonably priced and the service is good.
After your meal, you can sit back and relax with the extensive selection of alcoholic beverages or even make your way upstairs to the rooftop and enjoy the views of the Melbourne CDB.
As a Melbournian, I would recommend you to try Cookie. A mouth watering Thai cuisine that will leave you wanting more.

Extensive Beer Menu
ride_on_postman recommends this,
High ceilings, an old school feel and an extensive beer list make this wine/cocktail/nightclub/bar one of the best places in Melbourne for a beer. Interesting mix of Thai and Italian food on the menu, but tastes pretty good, if a little pricey.

Yakitori, beer and a movie? Yes please.
dmcclurg recommends this,
In the warmer months you can get onto the roof for some moonlight movies amongst the tall timbers of Melbournes skyline and you can even sms your (food) orders from your deck chair.
