Beware the meat-market antics on weekends; during the week it’s rather more subdued and the great music, bar staff and stunning location will impress – even if the Bali-meets-Morocco follies of the decorator don’t. If you’re going to do one megaclub in Melbourne (and like the idea of a glass dance floor), this is going to be your best bet.

    Pumping music on a Saturday and incredible cocktails

    I agree with Lonely Planet's review which essentially says if you do one major Melbourne club, do Alumbra.

    The music is awesome, the cocktail bartenders are fantastic and the crowd is very well dressed and friendly on a Saturday night.

    The live band on Sundays is pretty good too. Well worth a visit!
